One of the “Seven Summits” the mighty Mount Kilimanjaro is an everlasting magnet for adventurers and mountaineers. Nestled between the border of Kenya and Tanzania, the highest mountain of Africa and highest freestanding mountain in the world lures travellers from all corners of the globe to conquer its magnificence. We invite you to come and try Mount Kilimanjaro trekking for yourself. Experience the pride of making it to the top of Kilimanjaro, and the feeling of freedom you get when standing on the top of the world!
Kilimanjaro Offers a range of trekking options for every level of climber, from novice to expert …seeking a view from its summit. Hiking Kilimanjaro is physically and mentally demanding, and should not be under-estimated. With adequate preparation any reasonably fit person can reach the summit successfully.
Astride the equator yet permanently snow-capped at 19,340 ft high, Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania is Africa’s roof top and the world’s highest free standing mountain which can be climbed by any physically fit person. John Rebmann, a German missionary, was one of the first westerners to explore the mountain in 1841. He announced to the world the existence of a great mountain that was ‘capped in a glacier’.
We organize treks to the summit of the Mountain using 5 different routes: Machame, Marangu, Rongai, Lemosho and Umbwe. Regardless of the route, no special equipment (just walking gear) or previous experience is required to climb the Kilimanjaro. A good level of fitness but specially an exceptional level of determination.
We do not usually recommend the Marangu route because, though it is the only route where you can sleep in huts, they sometimes prove to be less comfortable than the tents we provide. Besides, it has a lower success rate (specially the 5 days version) because it does not use the “climb high, sleep low” principle.
The Umbwe route is usually considered the most difficult route but, if you are experienced, it can also provide you with some of the most spectacular scenery while having very few people around climbing with you. You need to be physically fit for this route.
Every trek is unique for us and you will find details in our services that you just can’t expect from other agencies.
